Weather Explorer

I’m happy to say I’m finally opening up “Weather Explorer”, a project I’ve been working on in my spare time for the past two years.

As the README explains:

Weather Explorer is a website that aims to fill the gap between sites like TWC which give you data, but no source information, and detailed analysis sites like NOAA’s analysis/model pages, PSU’s e-wall, and pivotal weather.

Meteorology is not an exact science - it physically can’t be. Everything ends up being an estimate or range of possibilities, but most websites don’t show this.

The goal of this website is to highlight that imprecision, and provide a way for users to “drill down” to raw source data (another thing that no “consumer” website does AFAIK) and see the difference between models, or even the changes in a single model as time goes on.
